Randall Steele Obituary, Death Cause – William “Randall” Steele, 75, of Chickamauga, Georgia died Friday, December 22nd, at home surrounded by family. He was born in Chattanooga, TN, to Robert (Bob) and Dot Lanier Steele Wilson. The 1967 Rossville High School graduation. Before joining American Building Services, which eventually became Swan, ISS, and Southern Management, he worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

He retired as president. Member of Peavine Baptist Church. He loved being Mamps & Papps with his sweetheart, Marlene, watching their grandkids play ball, camping, and going to the condo with the family. He valued his work family, Bible Study, and Greg’s restaurant’s “The Liar’s Club”. His parents, wife of 51 years Marlene Culver Steele, brother Gary Steele, and brother-in-law Dwight Sparks predeceased him. He is survived by his children:

Lance (Mandy) Steele of Ringgold, GA, Shanna (Shawn) Rogers, and Lacey (Jeff) Goodson of Chickamauga, GA, sister: Teresa (Dale) Hughey of Ringgold, GA, step-father: Don Wilson, sister-in-law: Billie Sparks, and to those who called him Papps, his grandchildren: Denver & Emoree Rogers, Steele & Hampton Goodson, Layne & Ruby Steele, several nieces & nephews. Randall enjoyed working cows, riding grandkids, and watching nature on the family farm after retirement.

He also cherished the memories of many parties, family gatherings, customs, and time in his family home. Your children, grandchildren, and guests will enjoy years of celebrations and love in this home. Randall was a devout Christian who supported many organizations, including Lookout Mountain FCA, where he served on the board of directors, his local churches in North Georgia, Chris McDaniel Ministries and its many missions, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Billy Graham Ministries.

He often talked about his Rossville High School football squad and his many close pals. Over the years, he enjoyed his Florida vacations with his close friends. The family would like to thank everyone who comforted Randall, especially Kelly Dunn Strickland, Terri Stoker, and Megan Chandler (Hearth Hospice). These 3 ladies helped Randall and family beyond expectations. Randall’s humble behavior, lifestyle, and business advise and counsel affected many in the area. Wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, he loved his family and was a selfless legend.

The family will greet friends Friday, December 29, 2023 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm at Peavine Baptist Church, 1089 Peavine Road, Rock Spring, Georgia 30739. Randall’s life will be celebrated at 1:30 pm.
